Lavender scent for sleep
I love waking up to the scent of Lavender, I’m almost obsessed with this scent, and I love the colour of the flowers too. Another things that I’m obsessed with is finding out all of the ways I can improve my sleep patterns (as since I was born had problems sleeping) so when I heard that a better night’s sleep could be down to something as simple as adding a natural scents and herbs to my bedroom, I immediately did so.
The smell of lavender is recognised everywhere as a great aid for relaxation. Lavender has been proven to lower heart rate, blood pressure and stress levels, which is why it’s perfect for the bedroom. A study by the even showed that the scent of lavender in bath oil calmed babies and sent them off into a deeper sleep, while also reducing stress in the mother. I keep dried lavender in my bedroom and I bought these beautiful bouquets at the market in Lugano during summer. You can certainly add a living Lavender plant too - In case you do so, the lavender plant likes warmth and sunlight, so ensure to place it on a sunny windowsill and water sparingly.
