Getting ready for cozy winter days
The winter is about to arrive with it’s cold weather and crisp days, perfect for staying inside and cozy up at home. So when the snow starts falling I want to make sure my home is ready for the winter days – and it’s very easy to add that extra cozy factor, here are my favorite was to make my home warm and “wintrified”.
Candles and lights – make sure to have a pack or two of extra candles at home, - tea lights and taper candles are the ones I use the most in winter.
Food and wine – stock up while it’s still possible to walk outside. There’s no season like winter seasons with all delicious meals one can have, I’m thinking long brunches, cheese fondu and cookies. And of course not to forget the red wine! A cozy evening with lighted candles is not completed without a delicious glass of red wine (this is just my opinion).
Wintrify your furniture – I love cozy sheepskins. I have two skins on my balcony (from IKEA) and and two skins in our dining room, the more expensive version that I’ve bought at the action house Lauritz.com
Winter slippers – maybe the most important of all and amazing to put your feet into in the morning. I have two pairs, one pair of UGG’s with sheep-fur and one with simple leather.
Winter deco – Bring the season into your home by adding dried leaves and pine cones. It’s for free and adds that extra seasonal colour palette.
