These past days I’been missing Sweden and its particular things like the afternoon light in September, the fresh seafood from my hometown and the busy streets of Stockholm in the atutumn and its energy. The autumn in Sweden has something indescribable.
I was born in a small town in Sweden, Vänersborg and later on moved to Strömstad; a small fishing village on the west coast where everyone knew each each other. The city got too small for my mind and I moved from home already aged fifteen. It was the best thing I’ve ever done.
Fast forward, after having spent a rainy autumn in London, I ended up at university in Oslo dreaming of a career as a real estate broker in New York. Nothing was ever impossible, I had already accomplished so much "impossible" in my life that nothing seemed difficult. But suddenly other cities became more interesting than New York. I decided to study parts of my master degree in New Delhi, India. I came back with a new perspective of the world, and appreciated clean streets and drinkable water more than ever. One more time, a city, Oslo this time, became too small for my mindset and I made my way to Switzerland for an internship. I stayed, and after six years I still feel like I’m living in a dream. This is where I’ll stay.
